Member since 2021. Co-founded the Goat Shed Surfboard Library project. Lucas and Tobin shape custom sustainable surfboards and are involved in Surf Festivals in Sumner and New Brighton.

Jim Perry

Hub Coordinator and the friendly face at Sumner Hub. Jim helps with community needs and runs the Community Van service, Civil Defence projects, and the Bikery. A passionate outdoorsman and youth mentor with the 180 Degrees Trust.

Alicia Mallo

Contract Project Coordinator at the Hub across Sustainability, Environmental, and Civil Defence projects. Supports operations from grant writing and events to project delivery—working closely with local schools, council, and nonprofits. Through Ika Moana, also supports local charities including the Sumner Ferrymead Foundation, Sumner Bays Union Trust, and the Goat Shed.
